Technology For Learning Listening

Listening has an important place in learning as it is one of the four major skills in language acquisition.

Listening is the most significant part of communication as it is pivotal in providing a substantial and meaningful response. Especially in learning a language for communicative purpose, listening plays a vital role, as it helps the language learner to acquire pronunciation, word stress, vocabulary, and syntax and the comprehension of messages conveyed can be based solely on tone of voice, pitch and accent; and it is only possible when we listen. Without understanding input appropriately, learning simply cannot get any improvement. In addition, without listening skill, no communication can be achieved

Many language learners focus a lot on speaking. They don’t spend as much effort on quietly listening. Listening seems like it should be simple, or secondary to other more active language skills. To the surprise of many new learners, listening to a foreign language is difficult. If you’ve ever had to sit for a second language test, you’ll know that the listening section is almost always the hardest. To overcome this, the emergence of technology is very helpful in dealing with existing problems. With only internet, you no longer need to spend amount of money for join an English course or go to Native countries. Well, here is a list of websites that you can visit to learn to listen
